This cedar cladded studio with pergola was custom built to the client’s needs. The client wanted additional storage from his home to safely store many different items. Just like a home, this shed uses 2×4 construction with 1/2 plywood sheathing, 60mm building paper, while being cladded with 1×10 board and batten cedar siding. The pergola is constructed of solid 6×6 cedar posts, 4×6 cedar beam and rough sawn 2×4’s. The pergola is covered with a glass and aluminium cover to provide shelter for the client’s hot tub. The shed is electrified with lights, has one electrical outlet plug on the floor and two on a work bench, and has a thermostat which controls an electric baseboard heater. The shed walls and ceiling are insulated and finished with half inch spruce plywood.
